Mit dem Fernreise-Bus fahren die West-Berliner 1968 in den Urlaub. Doch das Vergnügen ist nicht ungetrübt: Für den Transitverkehr zwischen Berlin (West) und der Bundesrepublik führt die DDR Mitte Juni 1968 einen Pass- und Visazwang ein. Sie erhebt fortan eine Gebühr von fünf DM pro Person und bessert so ihre Devisen in der Staatskasse mit Westmark auf.
