In West-Berlin wird eine Teststrecke für die Magnetbahn eröffnet. Sie fuhr vom Gleisdreieck über Bernburger Straße zum Kemperplatz.

Doch mit dem Mauerfall enden die M-Bahn-Träume: Die Versuchsstrecke befindet sich auf einer U-Bahn-Trasse und muss 1990 weichen.
